Would sending this follow-up text be funny or just cringe?

Met a girl through a mutual friend. We’d met once before, then ran into each other again at a bar and spent most of the night talking and flirting.

The next day she texted me first. After some banter, I asked her out:“What are you up to this week? Let me take you to dinner.”

It’s been over 2 days with no response.

I was thinking about sending a GIF of LeBron missing a dunk with the caption:

“Tough crowd.”

Not because I’m expecting it to magically work, but because I genuinely think it’s funny.

Would you guys find that confident and self-aware, or would it come across as not taking the hint?
