Migraines change in peri menopause

Last year I started getting very strong migraines in the middle of the night. It starts behind my cheeks and nose and I can feel it expanding upwards to my head. The first time it happened, I went to emergency thinking I’m having an aneurysm. It knocks me out for a day or two. Has anyone ever experienced this? I feel like it’s hormonal but I don’t know.
