She always said her greatest strength was her pride; but that same strength was also her greatest weakness. Nearing the end of her schooling, war broke out. Being from a wealthy family as well as being a woman, there was no reason for her to join. But that pride of her’s. She was too proud of her country, too proud of what she believed in. So, against her parents’ wishes, she joined the military. Everything she was told to do, she excelled at. Top of her class in every section.

Fast forward a few months and several successful missions. She’s now in charge of her own squad. Her and her squad are pinned down in a foxhole, explosions around them and bullets flying overhead. She knows they’re stuck and she needs to find a way out. Grabbing hold of her rifle, she props it up on the defensive cover and begins firing suppressive fire, hoping to create an opening for her squad to retreat. Soon enough, that window opens and she orders her squad to fall back. Still firing her rifle, her squad retreats and she starts to follow suit. One moment she’s retreating, the next her ears are ringing and everything’s pitch black. Then she loses consciousness.

After who knows how long, she is finally awoken by a soft voice. Despite her eyes being open, she can’t see anything. “Hello?” She softly calls out to the voice that had awoken her.

Heya! Thanks for reading my post! In addition to the story above, here is some more information on what I’m looking for:

My character is a proud, stubborn, and painfully independent. She’s used to navigating the world on her own, and is too stubborn to admit she may need help now. Your character is mostly up to you, but I’d prefer her to be gentle and sweet, almost motherly with how she treats my character. The starting point would either continue on from where my story left off, or the soldier arriving back home with the help of the nurse, who she pushes away now that she’s home in a familiar place.
