Leave question (NY vs TX)

Hey everyone,

I'm a blue badge Amazon employee and recently found out there are leave options that can provide time off (and sometimes pay?) with the proper documentation.

One reason I'm looking into this is that my mother has medical conditions and I may need time to help care for her. I'm also considering moving to Texas for a master's program and was wondering how leave/disability benefits compare there.

My questions are:

Are paid family leave or disability benefits available to Amazon employees in Texas, or is that mainly a New York State benefit?

Has anyone successfully taken leave to care for a parent? What documentation was required?

If you transferred from a NY Amazon site to Texas, did your leave benefits change?

I'm trying to learn more about benefits that I honestly haven't paid much attention to before. Any experiences or advice would be appreciated.
