Is solar still worth it in the UK?

For anyone who has installed solar in the UK, has it actually been worth it financially?

I’m curious about the real-world payback period, export rates, battery vs no battery, and whether the savings are meaningful after the upfront cost.

Would you do it again, or is it more of an environmental/lifestyle choice than a solid financial one?
