will dentists know if i vape?? help

i started vaping summer of 2024, i vape till now.

i tried to quit multiple times but i always fail to do so, i just returned to vaping like a few days ago.

i wanted to ask if dentists would know if im still actively using or will they only see signs of past use?

can extra hydration and brushing cover it up?
