Sonography Program

Hi! I’m hoping to apply to the Sonography program in the next few years. I graduated high school in 2015 so I need to upgrade all my courses. Is there an advantage upgrading through camosun as opposed to sides? Also, I see people say having previous post secondary education and volunteer work gives an advantage. If I have 7 years (probably 9-10 years by the time I apply) of optometry experience, would that be sufficient? Or should I look into doing some classes and volunteer work too? Thanks in advance!
