Best food in area?

My wife and I are taking our nearly 3-year old for the first time in late July. We're driving down from NYC the day before we hit the park and I wanted to ask if there's any good restaurants worth hitting on the way there for either lunch or dinner? Our kid is an excellent restaurant kid so really open to whatever.
