Does anyone know about this specific kind of "split" sexuality? I tried to look everywhere and nothing explains it exactly like I do.
I was wondering if this is something unheard of or not.
Imagine you are attracted to men and women, sexually AND romantically.
However, you can only like a person either romantically OR sexually. One at a time.
Let's say you get a romantic crush on a specific girl: you want to go on dates with her, give her flowers, kiss her etc.
But you cannot physically imagine having sex with her. Your romantic attraction is in the way of the sexual attraction, as if you cannot experience both with the same person. Not because she isn't attractive to you, but because the first thing you felt for her is something romantic.
Same thing goes with maybe a sexual crush on that SAME gender: this girl you just met turns you on, and you want to have fun with her for one night or maybe multiple nights. However, you physically cannot get romantically attracted to her. Of course you care about her, but the sexual attraction is in the way of your romantic attraction. She could be anything you want in a romantic partner, but the romance feeling goes away after sex...
Well yea that's basically it, I hope I didn't say anything out of place or weird. I hope I'm also not horrible at googling cuz I legit couldn't find something like this anywhere else lol
