Freshly diagnosed

What started as sudden onset tachycardia, chest discomfort, tingling in limbs, and episodic high blood pressure, has turned into something much more. After a year and a half of medical evaluation and discovery, I’m headed down the path of an hEDS diagnosis.

In my research. I’ve discovered that the growing pains I had growing up, the party tricks, herniating fat on my heels, frequent sprains, frequent urination, and daily joint pain are not normal.

I know people present differently, but has anyone else had an array of the following with a sudden systemic flare at 35? Hypermobile symptoms have been there most of my life - I honestly thought they were normal.

palpitations
Tachycardia
Episodic high bp
Heaviness and tingling in limbs
Chest discomfort
Sudden onset thunderclap style migraine
Precipitous birth
Multiple ankle sprains
Multiple knee injuries
Heel papules
Persistent knee, ankle, hand, hip, lower back pain.
Tightening of the back of my legs (can’t bring my hands to mid-shin)
All other beighton joints hypermobile
Stretchy skin
I know I’m missing something. It’s so hard to think back and remember the things I thought were normal.

Perfect cardiac health, cleared with neurology, no hormone issues, nothing can be found. All of the “episode symptoms” have no cause and I keep coming back to hEDS.

I have been at my wits end with the medical field and finally saw a naturopath who 1. Knew what EDS is, and 2. Listed and believed me. She did the Beighton test, and Lo and behold, it’s official. Is a diagnosis from a naturopath… valid? There’s no other specialist near me and I’m afraid I’ll be medically judged.

I’m not entirely sure what I’m trying to accomplish with this post… moral support maybe? Validation perhaps?
