unable to sell covered calls

Hi,

I own 100 share of a stock, every time I try to sell Call option, I get an error saying" no shorts are allowed"

I didn't enable short selling in my account, but this should not be considered as short selling since I already own the stocks, is there special way to sell the CC? I'm using Interactive Broker
