VOC REHAB

So I had a interview for voc rehab today and was accepted, but she only entitled me to 16 months due to previous GI BILL usage. I applied 10 years ago and was granted an SEH. Didn’t end up using it because I could use it for an apprenticeship then.
She told me I was having trouble getting employed because I disclosed my dui to employers, and said I should not. But in the state of Texas it’s illegal to not disclose crimes to employers.
My question is should I just appeal the decision with her supervisor now or wait for my next appointment and bring up the grievance?

(DUI was 10 years ago on the way home from my Roomate’s funeral from the marines, shitty time and shitty decision)

Long story short I’m trying to get enough time to go through an electrical apprenticeship.
