First month of sertraline

Help, i have been on escitalopram since april 2025 and it helped me manage my depression and anxiety. Last month when i went back to my psych, i complained about how much i gained weight and i need to go back to taking contraceptive because of my PCOS. She then changed my medication from Lexapro to Zoloft. The transition was HARD. It still is. It drove me into an episode which almost made me attempt >!suicide.!<

I know it’s gonna be hard for the first few weeks but that “almost” attempt really took a toll on me and my family. I’m considering going back to escitalopram.

Is this a normal thing when you first started Zoloft? 🫩 should i go back to Lexapro?
