Uncut lilies and cats

Settle a debate for me techs. I just bought a new house and there are several different types of lilies planted in the yard. I was chatting with a co-worker (DVM) about it and how I'm a little sad to have to pull out all this beautiful landscaping since we have 2 indoor/outdoor cats. She said uncut lilies aren't poisonous to cats?? I've never heard this before but she seemed so adamant. Honestly I'd like to believe it's true because the flowers are beautiful, but I'm hesitant. Have you ever heard this?? Does anyone have any source material??
