Frustrated with comments.
Let me preface this by saying most of what people say does not bother me. I have heard it all about parenting, pregnancy, etc., and let it all go in one ear and out the other.
HOWEVER.
My baby is almost 6 months old. He is a CLINGER. He needs to be held 24/7. He scream cries within seconds of being put down. He doesn’t want to be entertained, he just wants to be held…by me…every moment of the day. Genuinely, I think he’s frustrated that he can’t move on his own yet. He just wants to move, constantly.
I love my baby dearly. He is amazing. But when I mention that I can’t set him down, it’s like people don’t understand. It is always met with comments like:
“You did this to yourself.”
“Whose fault is that?”
“Just set him down and let him cry.”
And other similar comments.
I did NOT do this to myself. It is NOT my fault. I do NOT want to let him cry it out.
I’m so annoyed hearing these comments from people. They act as if I made him this way by meeting his every need?? That’s what I’m supposed to do!!
I’m frustrated with no one to vent to, because apparently no one I know has ever had a clingy baby. That’s all.
