I’m doing some personal coding to build a couple personal apps. I’m using Claude for one app and really enjoy the process. It seemed pretty efficient and didn’t need a lot of hand holding. Btw, I’m in IT but not a developer by any means. However, ……the timeouts have rendered it almost useless. At this point in my project I get one message and it tells me to come back in 3 hours to continue.

For another app I started using Chat GPT. It was going really long with no timeouts. However , I get a lot less accomplished. It is soooooo chatty, pun intended. I even told it to go to a less verbose mode. It took two screens to tell me what I meant, tell what it would do differently, and how that would match my expectations. It’s driving me nuts, then it hit a timeout.

Copilot is next. I’m not going to make any money off this stuff. I’m using at a learning exercise so I don’t want to pay $20/m for 3-4 different ai programs.

I’d rather use Claude so far but I really can’t. Any ideas?
