At some point, one of us has tried to fill up a cart we've finished. I know I did when I learned about distillate syringes when I was a med card novice years ago. Learned you could just buy empty carts online because of this subreddit, and then graduated to trupods for my disty needs.

Once live rosin syringes became a thing in the program, the typical hardware just wouldnt cut it anymore. I also noticed dispensaries like Grow Healthy & Planet 13 started using ceramic hardware which helped preserve the flavor of the oil way more than the standard metal 510 hardware. Curaleaf made the switch to the ceramic cores from their metal 510s for rosin as well and then Cookies, Rise MUV & even Sanctuary started to as well ( Blue River & Sunnyide need to catch up ). After figuring out that this would be the best type of hardware for making my own rosin carts, I started using ceramic and postless hardware from VPM and Lighterusa to mess around and see the best options.

As far as distillate goes, its pretty safe. You can easily usd any hardware, metal, postless and ceramic 510, pod or AIO hardware - so your options are pretty vast. ( Vfire Pods + Trustick for disty or any AIO will work well outside of a normal 510 setup ).

When it comes to live rosin, you WANT to stick with the ceramic and postless hardware. I've made Solventless Trupods and tried some standard 510s and they just end up tasting terrible by the time I get to the end of the cart and I'll just wanna toss it. I've also tried several ceramic AIO options from VPM for rosin, and I can definitely say if you want to go this route, do not make a 1g AIO. stick with a .5 because it WILL taste awful once youre halfway done, no matter how much you baby it. As far as I am concerned, a 510 battery that you can adjust temperatures on with the right hardware makes all the difference in the world. .5g Frost Ceramic 510s for half gram carts from 2.0 - 2.6 volts and and the 1g VPM Postless 510 on a constant 1.8 to 2 volts MAX ( black ).

I know alot of y'all are messing around with different hardware options to make rosin carts, and i am very well aware of how good the 02 hardware hits, so I'll be giving that a shot along with some 02vapes to see how well those hit.

Hopefully this post helps any patients curious on making their own carts, and can guide them on what hardware to use. And for the experienced patients, if theres any hardware you found that works well, feel free to drop it in the comments. Options for Solventless gas on the go that doesn't taste like burnt sadness is always a plus imo.

I'll probably do another post like this for refilling vapes in the program since I've successfully refilled and vaped an ONI O2 AIO, Sherbinski AIO, Medizin AIO, a Turnpod, Full Spec Carts, and a Briq 2.0 ( with disty ) for those who want to recycle the hardware, but I personally reccomend doing it fresh.
