I FIGURED IT OUT THE ORIGINAL STORY

Godolkin was suppose to be the main villian in the end

I believe he was suppose to take over homelander body in the end

This would of played out like in the comics when homelander called all supes to kill all humans

I believe andre was the key to stopping him hence why his dad ended up with the scene of pushing back godolkin

which also why i think the last scene with hugie being asked to lead makes way more sense

Also explains the powerscale issue
