What are the required equipments to do a Frankenstein mod on a PS3.

Well as title states, I'm looking to learn how to do the Frankenstein mod for as cheap as possible (not too cheap just best value).

I already do console repairs as a hobby but I get a lot of PS3s with 3034 (Dead RSX/Cell) and I don't mind breaking them in the process of learning, I truly have a lot of them.

I already own a 858D hot air station (will this be enough or should I upgrade?) and some Mechanic M35 Flux but I know I need some liquid flux. So I'm looking for the best value equipment I can get for learning.
