Single prong French iron and the dreaded spacing around corners

I'm having a tough time finding a set of French irons that include a single prong, and I've seen others in this sub mention you don't really need one, which makes me think they are not very popular. I'm curious if y'all have some tips on corners because I'm having a tough time getting the spacing to look nice without a single prong.
