Regarding cgl preparation

I am a upsc cse aspirant, and before starting preparation for upsc cse,i had given ssc cgl twice,it was without any solid preparation,as a result i couldn't clear, and after giving one attempt in upsc i gave cgl again with some preparation,i couldn't clear it as well. Now I don't know how to navigate these exams together as the demands of the exams are extremely different. Pls guide me on how to go about it as the pressure for writing cgl from parents is quite big :)
