is my crow reputation ruined

Hi all, I have been feeding crows in my neighborhood for just about a year now, have built a good rapport and they trust me. today at a park near my house there was a fledgling on the ground, parents cawing above and it was too young to fly into a tree. i called a wildlife hotline and they said place it in a tree, I did so and the crows did not go near it and did not seem to see it, i moved it a second time to a clearer and higher tree. the fledgling cried out when i carried it both times obviously and about 15 crows were frantically calling from above and circling me (no diving though). Before I left, two crows had landed on the tree I placed the fledgling on so I think they saw it.

My question is: do crows know I am helping, or have I just become public enemy number 1 for the crows in my neighborhood? Obviously worth it to help a fledgling but I am going to be so bummed if all that is over now. what do you think?
