Actually what is going on with rocket league today

I'm playing between c2 and c3 all day long. (Have a day of work). And I have had literally 1 teammate I didn't have to carry in 2s. I think I have played about 40 to 50 matches today. And literally all matches besides that one they have made 2 or more mistakes leading to goals. They all have weird cars. They all don't flip for kick off or just front flip. I'm constantly the one needing to clutch up or be MVP of the match. Is there something going on I don't know about? Being able to buy ranks or some?
