when is a piercing is healed enough to get another?

NSFWGenital/nipple piercings

hi!

at the end of March 2025, i got my nipples pierced! it was a wonderful experience, didn't hurt much, the soreness kinda sucked for a week or two, but the healing was smooth. it's normal for anything on my body, from piercings to everyday cuts, to heal extremely slowly. no known health issues causing this. just my body being slow.

it has now been a year and 2.5 months since i've had my nipples pierced. generally they no longer hurt or are sore, and haven't been in quite a long while.

however, they sometimes still develop small crusties. most days they're clear, and i clean them anyways with NeilMed piercing aftercare , but every few days there's still some crust being produced.

especially with how slowly my body heals literally everything, should i be very careful about not having additional piercings healing at the same time?

i have been longing for second lobe piercings for years now, would it be too soon to get them? should i wait until my nipple piercings stop producing crusties completely?

thanks for any advice or thoughts anyone can give me! cheers :)
