Camera recs for interior designer
Hi would really appreciate some advice on cameras for interior photography and videos. Thanks so much for your time : )
- Budget: £1k - £2k (GBP) Possibly a bit more for accessories.
- Country: UK
- Condition: New ideally
- Type of Camera: unsure
- Intended use: Photography & video
- If photography; what style: Interiors photography & Content creation. I am an interior stylist but have recently fallen into producing content for brands (mostly things like furniture and wallpaper etc) that they use on websites and newsletters. Interiors, social media etc. In an ideal world I’d want to be able to take interiors magazine style photos.
- If video what style: interiors. for reels etc, not making anything long-form. video how-tos etc. Not Vlog type videos.
- What features do you absolutely need: video
- What features would be nice to have: articulating screen
- Portability: not an issue - mostly shooting home or other locations
- Cameras you're considering: was recommended Fujifilm GFX 100 II Medium Format but this is too pricey for me.
- Cameras you already have: iPhone, Canon PowerShot SX30 (but I don't use this really)
- Notes: I currently use my iPhone.
- Would be good to know if there is any other kit that would be helpful for me doing interior photography(I have been looking at getting soft box lights etc but hard to know how useful they would be!)
- Lastly I am looking at photography courses but haven’t found anything that is specific to interior photography so if you happen to know of anything along those lines please let me know
