How many anomaly scans do you get?

Need Advice

I’m currently 21 weeks pregnant and had my second anomaly scan today.

I was planning to travel for 3 weeks around the time my 20-week anatomy scan was due, so my doctor scheduled it earlier at 18 weeks. However, during that scan, they said the baby was still too small to get all the measurements they needed, so they asked me to come back once I returned.

Today, at 21 weeks, I had the follow-up anomaly scan. Most things looked fine, but the baby was lying in a transverse position, which made it difficult for the sonographer to get clear views of the heart and complete all the cardiac measurements. Because of that, they’ve scheduled me for another scan in 2 weeks.

Has anyone else had to go back multiple times to complete their anatomy/anomaly scan because of the baby’s position? Was everything okay in the end?
