Colive Bangalore Refund Scam
In early April, I paid a ₹3,000 token amount for a Colive Atlanta in AECS Layout Bangalore after being shown the property in person and receiving a video of the same flat. My check-in was scheduled for May 1.
After paying the token, I repeatedly tried to get a payment receipt, but there was no response on calls or WhatsApp. Later, the property’s security guard informed us that the flat shown to us was not even going to be vacated by May 1.
While researching online, I found several Reddit posts describing similar experiences. We decided not to take any risks and rented another flat instead.
I visited the Colive office on April 23 and was told to send an email for a refund. The funny part was that I had already emailed them on April 13. I sent another email anyway and got busy with shifting.
On June 2, I visited the office again. Initially, the receptionist told me my file was on the manager’s table and the refund would be processed within 7 working days. After I showed proof of my earlier emails, the timeline suddenly changed to 3 days. When I continued pressing for a clear answer, it became “within 24 hours.”
I refused to leave until I received written confirmation, and only then did they send me an email confirming the refund process.
As of today, I still haven’t received my ₹3,000 refund.
