What is the point of arms in non-blunt / netrunner builds?

Can someone please explain this to me? If I want to go a blades build I use katanas, not mantis, if I want to do a guns build I'm not gonna need any arm, but I STILL have to use them for the tech perk + they get in the way of my weapons fast swap
