Inpost says it delivered the item and Vinted sides with them?

So I’m very confused about this situation and frustrated, would like some advice.

I used inpost home delivery for an item, and they claimed to have left it in a safe place. They never took a photo of it, so I have no clue where that safe place is. I did look.

I reported the parcel as missing immediately (within 48h) and Vinted have stated:

“Thank you for getting back to us.

The shipping provider confirmed that the parcel was delivered. After delivery is confirmed, the 48-hour timeframe is given for reporting any issues with the item, not the delivery itself.

As no issue with the item was reported within this timeframe, the transaction has been completed.”

They decided to release the money and not refund me which is why the transaction is accepted. I never accepted it.

What do I do? How can they just take my money and not deliver the item?

It’s a very cheap item, but this has happened before and I’m just tired of Vinted behaviour.
