Fireflies?

I’m two days into a four-day visit to Iowa City, and this place is so awesome. It feels like a pocket universe in which everyone is kind and nothing is particularly wrong.

I grew up in Missouri, but I’ve been in Southern CA for the last 20ish years, and I miss fireflies so much. Are they out yet around here? If so, any place walkable from downtown where I might see some? Thanks!
