Does Anyone Believe in the Aryan Invasion Myth?(Just curious)

அரசியல் / Political

Lemme tell u guys one thing...

I dont accept dravidianism. Its idea's based on racial and discriminatory and high allegated theories by british colonialists. It divides North Vs South and Brahmin vs Non Brahmin. In Tamil Nadu especially, two parties are there:DMK and AIADMK...so yeah.

Just so u know:

I support equal rights of women, proper dignified treatment of women, education for all, love of language(Tamizh),Only one Caste - Human,Religion-Humanity first.I dont believe them to be dravidian ideologies.

But,Let us see :

1853, Müller used these linguistic commonalities to hypothesize that a group of people called "Aryans" migrated or invaded the Indian subcontinent from Central Asia. Though Müller later clarified that "Aryan" meant a language group and not a biological race, colonial administrators and European ethnologists continued to use it racially to justify British imperial rule.

However there is no proof suggesting that such a massive invasion happened,if it would have been so---> Texts,Travellogues,Historical acvoints anything, anyone wpuld have talked about it...but thwre is none.

Unfortunately lot of people fight and argue for this.

Shocking facts:

  1. There is something called The Empty Land Myth which was used by the british colonialists to justify their rule in africa by stating similarly that they didnt invade a particular territory but a particular tribe wouldve invaded and killed the original inhabitants. They also claimed most of the land was unoccupied not realising usually it was and people believed in a different practice where they travlled regularly based on their patterns, traditions, comfort and essentials. They also claimed the tribes to be savages and declared their rule to be liberating.

  2. In Sri Lanka,Previously called ceylon...The Colonialists enacted their scheme over there as well claiming that the indigenous aryan sinhalese had been subjagated by the dravidian tamils.Btw A Shocking Similarity exists with in TN and India--> Brahmins were targetted...They made <3% population in Tamil Nadu and <5% overall India but had a disproportionate access to jobs and educatiins with a higher "english" literacy and often pursued degrees. In Sri Lanka The Tamils Made 11% of the population but occupied more than 50% of political roles, jobs and education. However in Sri Lanka this went worse with a civil war,LTTE,1956 Sinhalese Only Act.

So Reservations were demanded in both places for equal representation.69% in Tamil Nadu Engineering Colleges are reserved for SCs,STs,MBCs,BCs,BC-Musilms...

In Sri Lanka district wise representation where its proportional accordingly. Also those from rural areas get precedence

Due to this majoritarianism:

  1. Gen Category in TN have to compete for 31% of seats along with other categories as well.

  2. Even if a Tamil did well,Sinhalese get Precedence as most of Sri Lanka have Sinhalese speakers more rather than Tamil.

Even Now Brahmins are often bashed in Cinema,by the media,by Social Media and through varuous verbal abuses and even alleged attacks.Social Justice is seen as top priority. When Brahmins were attacked previously due to rise of non brahman movements they settled in other parts of India or fled to sri lanka or anywhere they could.

Tamils In Sri Lanka had to struggle harder, mostly striving to Go to India.Even Now Tamilians from TN are ached by the pain caused by them and ia a reason why the govt prevents Citzenship Amendment Act,calls for justice and support, provides refuge etc.

Its Just So shocking to see the various similarities.

I agree that discrimination happened and such, but that was still then, how are we gonna survive today of we think about the past?

Incase u were wondering:

Out of the total documented student body in schools and colleges, the overall distribution was as follows:Shudras (Sudras): 85,400 students (The largest demographic block, making up the vast majority of classrooms).Brahmins: 42,502 students (Representing roughly one-fourth of the institutional student intake).Vaishyas (Vysee) & Others: The remainder of the 188,650 total scholars was split between Vaishyas, Muslims, and other regional sub-castes.

Absence of a Caste Barrier: The Collector of Bellary and other regional administrators explicitly stated that caste, gender, and religion did not act as restrictive barriers preventing entry into the elementary education system.

The primary issue of inequality highlighted by Munro was economic rather than social systemic exclusion within the school framework. In his final Minute, Munro emphasized that the overarching poverty resulting from heavy colonial taxations prevented poorer families from keeping children enrolled for longer durations, which artificially suppressed literacy rates over time.

So,Not everything that we think is true ?
