Tying off to Piling

First time slip holder here….

The slip i’m in is a fixed dock where I have to tie off to 2 pilings. With approximately 3’ tide drops, what’s the best way to tie off to the pilings?

For reference, there are no low cleats on the pilings, only a cleat at the top of the piling. I currently have the boat secured by creating a loop with running the tail of the dock lines through the eyelet and cinched it approximately halfway down the piling.

Should I secure to the top cleat instead? keep what i have now? or should i keep it in the same location now, but do a more secure knot to avoid any movement up/down the piling?

26’ Pontoon

TIA….
