Anyone here interning at Meezan Bank this summer? Need some guidance

Has anyone here done an internship at Meezan Bank before or is doing it this summer? I wanted to ask when your internship usually started and whether you received an email/call beforehand telling you the exact joining date.

I met the branch manager before Eid regarding my internship application, and he told me he’d let me know about the start date. I also have his number, so I texted him this Monday for a follow-up, but he hasn’t replied yet.

Now I’m confused whether I should wait more or just call him directly. Would calling be appropriate/professional in this situation, or would that come off as pushy?

Would appreciate hearing about your experience, especially how Meezan usually communicates internship updates and timelines.
