Looking for a Creative, Affordable Place to Call Home in the South. Any suggestions?

My partner and I are both turning 30 this year and are looking for a big change, including a move to a new town or city. In August we'll have just over a week based in Bristol to explore the South and visit places that could potentially become home, so I'd love some recommendations.

We're looking for somewhere with a strong creative community, independent businesses, arts, music, and a good social scene with plenty of opportunity for collaboration, musical and artistic. We both love nature and spend a lot of time outdoors, so access to wild spaces is important. A coastal town would be ideal, but we're open to anywhere with beaches, forests, hills, or great green spaces nearby.

Affordability matters too. I could potentially buy with a budget of around £200k, or we'd consider renting for around £900 a month. My partner works in youth work, so there would need to be opportunities in that sector within commuting distance.

Good transport links are important, particularly to larger cities and to the North where we have family. We'd also love somewhere diverse, welcoming, and with a real sense of energy and community.

Any recommendations, especially places that might not be obvious but are worth falling in love with?
