So what exactly did Julius and his companions do to Dracula?

I’ve played almost every single Castlevania to completion, so I’m not sure if in Aria/Dawn if it was ever explained what Julius and his companions did to actually finally end Dracula to the point where he straight up couldn’t come back and had to be reincarnated as Soma.
