Down the cliff, which choice did they showed?

I have watch few reactions to the trailer and in most of them, they come to the conclusion that if they push him he hits the rock, so they will jump alone. But I think that trailer in a way is a misdirect. Like logically thinking the will go down the cliff either way, like he wouldn't stay up there. So there are 2 points I wanna make why I think you have to push him to save him.

First he doesn't have momentum to jump far enough to jump past the rock. And second, in the clip they showed she was too far on his right to have pushed him and created space between each other before the jump for that outcome. What are y'all thoughts?
