Authors like Alexis Hall?

I just reread {Boyfriend Material by Alexis Hall}, and wow, I'd forgotten how much I like Hall's writing!

Oliver is soo dreamy and I'm not even into men. Luc is an asshole but in very real ways that create conflict which is worked thru realistically. And it's fun and silly throughout. I also love Hall's more serious works like the Spires series. He has so much care for his characters and is careful with their voices so they sound distinct from each other.

I read a decent amount of romance, but I'm looking for more like this, that's not just romance but also character study.

My other favorite writers are Talia Hibbert and KJ Charles, and I don't really have genre preferences. I will say that I usually don't like misogyny from a MC, even if it's part of a character arc.
