Do you have a community "hero" where you live?

Rant

I live in Rockland Park, and there's this one guy I live near that's a pain in the ass and always mouthing off to the landscapers when they show up about needing to show up more. Sometimes he does good. I see him changing the garbage cans in the park often, which is kind, but I'm not sure who would want to deal with all of that when landscapers are paid to deal with it. I also often see him bringing his dinky push mower into the natural park to mow stuff. I was thinking of asking him to stop because this park looks nice natural, but I don't want him becoming my problem either.

Maybe the guy thinks he's doing good, but it doesn't show the way he thinks. Is this what happens to those who are jobless and bored? They turn into community "heroes?"
