What Should I do?

I am a college student who needs a job and most places have been turning me down. One place I was offered to go to was Primerica. The person who works there that I know is relatively new as well. She found the job due to her mom's friend. ( Mom is deceased unfortunately ). I was told that this is a bad idea by my parents but im not sure. The money seems good but everything feels a lil weird there.There's alot of stuff online saying that it is a scam but idk. What do y'all suggest I should do?
