How is the aspect of the Lagna lord interpreted in a horoscope?
I have a doubt regarding how the aspect of the Lagna lord is interpreted in Vedic astrology..
Generally, Mars's aspect (or any malefic influence in general) on houses like the 8th, 7th, or 4th is considered challenging and can indicate aggression, conflicts, instability, or struggles in those areas.
But my question is:
If Mars itself is the Lagna lord, how is this interpreted?
Since the Lagna lord represents the self, personality, and overall life direction, does Mars’s aspect still give “negative” results on those houses, or does it become more about courage, initiative, and active transformation in those areas?
In other words, when a natural malefic becomes the Lagna lord, does its aspect still behave like a harsh influence, or does it get modified because it is ruling the Ascendant?
