The games I stay on longest are rarely the ones doing the most

The more slots I try, the more I notice that the ones I come back to are usually not the busiest ones. They are not always the newest either. Most of the time, they are just better balanced

A slot does not need constant effects, endless pop-ups, or a feature every few minutes to hold attention. Sometimes that just makes the whole session feel noisy. A cleaner setup with a paytable that makes sense, a feature that actually adds something, and a pace that doesn’t drag is usually enough. It’s made me realise that a lot of slots try very hard to look exciting, but that is not the same thing as being enjoyable over a full session
