Been friends with my friend for 6 years

I’ve been friends with my friend for 6 years now he’s considered I’m his old friend even though we met in 2019 we’ve were close friends in 2020 he asked me why I still talk with him im confused with that. Why he tells me that. I have new friends I talk to barely I still talk with him to. I think he maybe jealous of my friends
