Spilt diet soda on my pc - a small amount landed on my gpu
I've gone 30 years and have never had something similar ever happen. Basically I've recently renovated my office - my tower never sits on the floor, but wound up beside my desk temporarily as I'm decorating my office. Anyways a drink was knocked off my desk during decorating and landed upside down on top of my tower. A bunch of soda spilled out and I rushed to shut it off then clean the spill. I noticed some of it got sucked into my cooling top fans and pulled through the radiator and landed on my 3080s backplate. That back plate has holes. I rushed to dry it then disassemble it. Once open I took 90% rubbing alch to the backplate, and any exposed bits. I also hit the mobo in a few spots with the rubbing alch. I took it outside and blew it out (this was dumb in hindsight, I used my shop vac blower function as it was midnight and I didn't have compressed air). Reassembled it and stuck a fan on it overnight.
Woke up and turned it on after 7 hours (I had to start work so it's earlier than I would like). It didn't post. Disassembled it again and reset the CMOS and reset everything. Tried again and to my surprise it posted. Just ran a stress test and everything appears well.
Anything else I should do? Did I dodge a bullet or is this thing likely to shit the bed on me?
