Branch upgradation doubt urgent

Well I scored a rank of 21k in MET and I may get mechanical or automobile engineering at main campus……I want to do ece or eee so is it really tough to upgrade from mech automobile to ece eee?

What are the cg cutoffs and how tough exactly it is? And are the cutoffs for branch upgrade same for all depts?? Urgent question pls help
