Unpopular opinion - cats lying on your layout isn't funny or cute

1. Why on earth would you risk that? How much does a train cost these days and what about your more collectable ones? As a middle aged man, I am close to tears if I get a hairline scratch on my precious Japanese imported N scale rolling stock so can't for the life of me understand this behaviour.
2. It kills the suspension of disbelief that the whole enterprise is built upon?
3. I don't like cats.
