Why did you choose your Porsche Cayenne over other options?

My wife and I are in the market to replace her Q8. We have a dilemma. She is indifferent as long as it's "nice," has heated seats, and CarPlay; I like lots of makes and models, albeit for different reasons.

Audi and BMW are out (various reasons not worth detailing here). Right now we are looking at AMG GLE 53/63 Coupe, Range Rover Sport, and Cayenne S.

Every option my wife is going to want, and then some, will be available in all three options. I like the "idea" of the Range Rover, but am concerned about feeling too disconnected from the road and about reliability. My wife threw the Mercedes into the mix as she likes the GLE Coupe styling. Finally, I like the Cayenne S "cockpit" feel and performance / sound, but she's a little concerned it'll end up feeling like a more expensive version of her Q8.

All that to say, how did everyone here make their decision? Was it academic and logical (e.g. pros/cons, value for money, etc.) or did you just "know" you wanted a Porsche?

(Some, potentially, useful info: our second car is an RS5 Sportback and we have a 14- and 12-yr old, so two-seater 911 is not an option in case anyone is planning on telling us to buy a "fun" car, lol.)
