App Rejection For Simulated Gambling Even it is not
Hi everyone,
I recently got my app rejected by Apple for “simulated gambling”, but I’m trying to understand what triggered it because the game does NOT involve any real money, betting, or gambling mechanics.
The app is a simple online card game .
There is:
- No real money gambling
- No wagering system
- No cash-out or real-world value
However, the game does include an in-game currency system (tokens/coins) that players earn through gameplay and can spend on in-game features.
I’m wondering if the rejection might be caused by:
- The use of “coin / token” terminology
- Competitive “contest” structure
- Or the fact that it uses playing cards (which might trigger gambling association)
I’ve seen similar games on the App Store with coin systems, so I’m a bit confused about what specifically triggered this review outcome.
Has anyone experienced something similar or successfully appealed this kind of rejection? What changes did you make to get approved?
Any advice would be really appreciated.
