Is Berlin still a liberal city?

Planning to visit for the first time and trying to get a feel for the city. From the outside it still seems very much like its cultural self but with CDU taking over and the AfD rising across Germany, has anything actually changed on the ground? Is the vibe still what it’s known for or are things shifting?
