Twilight Timereaver issue

So I was playing Dude Paladin against a druid and had a full board of 3/3 recruits buffed by emboldening blade etc. I would have had lethal the turn after I got that board.

Opponent played twilight timereaver and presumably set my dudes' attack to 1 to survive, only for the minion to be played without the choose one taking effect? Is this a known issue?
