Paladin 1 / PotB Warlock with Magic Initiate (Shield): Higher AC or Better Stealth?

For a Paladin 1 / PotB Warlock build, which would be the better choice if I'm taking Magic Initiate (Wizard) for 3 casts of Shield?

Option 1: Heavy Armor

• 14 STR, 12 DEX, 14 CON, 10 WIS, 17 CHA

• Switch to heavy armor at level 9 or 13 with the Great Weapon Master (+1 STR) feat

• Slightly higher AC, but disadvantage on Stealth

Option 2: Stealth-Oriented

• 13 STR, 14 DEX, 14 CON, 17 CHA

• Use a Breastplate

• Gain Stealth proficiency

• Lower AC, but much better Stealth, DEX saves

• Increase CHA to 20 at level 9

Which option would you recommend? Is the extra AC from heavy armor worth giving up Stealth and CHA 20 at lvl 9 for on this kind of build?
